Millions of Americans suffer from some sort of back pain. For some, it is debilitating to the point that they can not walk.  For others, it’s just a nagging pain that makes their average day an “adventure”.

Where can you find relief?

Medication - Over the counter (OTC) medicines from the local pharmacy for pain relief can offer temporary aid to every day back pain.  Prescription medication from a physician, for more serious pain, is worth pursuing if pain persists.

Chiropractic Help – Contact a local chiropractor for a consultation.

Posture – Improve your posture at work and at home.  Next time you are at your desk, think about how you are sitting and attempt to stay upright.  **Be careful about the height of your keyboard and monitor.  Staring down at a monitor for 8 hours a day can cause neck and back pain.  Similarly, resting your hands on a keyboard or mouse at an uncomfortable angle can also contribute to back pain.

Exercise – Maintaining a healthy weight through 30 minutes of daily exercise will help stretch your back and improve overall posture and health.

Heat – Hot tubs and heating pads can be used to relax the muscles in your back and “keep you loose”.
